Option to remove username from appearing on leaderboard

May we have an option to disable whether we want our usernames to appear on the lichess leaderboard?

The leaderboards, while cool, serve as a quick & easy source for lichess teams to scout prospective players interested in joining their teams. I'll get sent 4-5 spam messages by these scouts within a month after my username is listed on the [Classical] leaderboard.

I don't want to block messages from all users since I do get interesting messages from users from time to time. It would not be fair to long-lost friends of mine or random people who want to talk with me.

That's why I mention the OP. It'd work as a quick work around to skirt team spammers. I'm not asking to disable or remove the leaderboard outright, simply provide me the option to have my username not be displayed publically on the leaderboard.

4-5 per month.....damn this must be stressfull. This happens when one is soooo famous like you are. Stay strong buddy.......

4-5 per month really isnt that much and it only takes 2 clicks to install honey- wait no 2 clicks to block someone

Why don't you write about this topic in a blog post?

It can get old fast yeah. Some months can be much worse.

My solution is a preventative measure against this. There is an unending supply of lichess team scouts. Why continually block scouts from teams every month, when we can nip the source at the bud?

I play crap to not risk getting my name on the leaderboards. Works every time.

I do think, that having the Option to remove the username from the leaderboard is a good idea: It's like another Option to add privacy to yourself. It just would be a Option regarding your choice of being "a little more (or in this case: a little less) accessible" to other players. And as always, Options are good (well, at least in most cases).

The best example is the OP, who seems to have got some messages: Of course, 4-5 a month isn't that much, but it is most definetely annoying to see people messaging you, just to let you know, that you, a player on the leaderboard, should join somebodys team, when you don't want to join such a team.
Also, I do not think, that the OP is showing off, I think it is just a proposal.

I have no idea, if this Option could be implemented though.

Maybe the option to disable ratings? Like say you take a break from playing Classical. So you can switch the mode to disabled. Then it will prevent you from playing Classical but at the same time, it will not list you in the database? Too much coding I guess? IDK.
